New Orleans-Born. Built for What These Houses Go Through.
We are a locally owned remediation company in New Orleans. Our technicians are IICRC-certified, our crews are local, and we have been working in these neighborhoods long enough to know what pier-and-beam foundations, original plaster walls, and cypress framing need from a remediator.
A New Orleans company, built to do this work better.
Big Easy Remediation was founded in New Orleans by people who grew up here, own property here, and understand what it means to put your home in someone else’s hands.
This city has a particular relationship with water damage, mold, and water recovery. It is not hypothetical. Katrina changed the city’s relationship with flood damage in a permanent way, and Ida reminded everyone, not long after, that flood season is not a distant risk. In between those storms, the ordinary things happen every day. A pipe fails behind a bathroom wall, an HVAC condensate drain backs up, or a roof develops a slow leak over a spare bedroom that goes unnoticed until the ceiling shows it.
We started this company because we kept seeing what happened to homeowners who hired the wrong people: incomplete work, missing documentation, mold that came back in six months, and insurance claims that went sideways because the scope was not properly recorded. We knew the work could be done better, so we built a company to do it better.
We cover New Orleans, Mid-City, Uptown, Lakeview, Gentilly, the Ninth Ward, Bywater, Tremé, Carrollton, Broadmoor, Metairie, and Kenner. We know the housing stock neighborhood by neighborhood.

You see the scope and the cost before any work begins.
We tell you what we found and what it costs to fix before we start any work. That means a written scope, in plain terms, with the cost included.
If we open a wall and find more damage than the scope anticipated, we stop and call you. We explain what we found and what it changes about the job. You decide whether to proceed with the additional work. We do not keep going and present you with a surprise invoice.
Why Homeowners in New Orleans Choose Big Easy Remediation
We Know the City’s Construction
We know the difference between a 1920s camelback and a 1970s slab foundation. We know which neighborhoods flood first and which ones drain slow. We know what cypress framing looks like when it has been wet for a week and what original plaster over brick needs to dry properly.
Documentation Your Insurer Can Use
We produce a complete file on every job, including moisture readings before and after, photo documentation at each phase, and a written clearance report.
Written Scope Before We Start Anything
You know the cost before we touch your home. If the scope changes, you hear from us first.
Available Monday to Saturday, Not Storm-Season Only
We are available in January for a burst pipe and in September for a hurricane. Our response capacity does not go away in the off-season.
IICRC Certification, a Credential Not a Claim
Our technicians hold current individual IICRC certifications. That is a verifiable credential, not a marketing claim. You can verify it at the IICRC directory, and we encourage you to.
